First thing to do in Belgium

After going to the Distric huis to register yourself, I suggest that the first thing to do when you come to Belgium as a newcomer is to enrol in Social integration class. I did it before i study their language. This is really important, do not forget. This is more useful than to ask somebody everytime you like to do something. Do not worry, there is an office to take care of that. You just ask or search the address of the office, depending upon where you are in Belgium.

You can learn a lot about Belgium the country, their way of living, politics, your rights and obligations, where to go in case you need help about working, studying, childcare, taxes, traveling, justice, minorities, residency, asylum seeker, culture and etc. This is very good for you so that you will not be ignorant in this country. Nevertheless, they are systematic with this kind of situation. As i told you before, this country has more than 150 nationalities from different countries, and Belgium is so well prepared for this . As for me, i enrolled right away in Atlas office located in Antwerpen. It was really a beautiful experienced for me, considering that my teacher came from Iraq and my classmates from different countries. It was my first experienced integrating with other nationalities. Oh! I loved my classmates.
